Privacy Policy

FAIRQA ("we", "us") operates fairqa.com and the FAIRQA Link assistant. This policy explains what we collect when you visit our site, ask questions through FAIRQA Link, or submit a form.

• Questions and content: the text of questions you ask FAIRQA Link, related classification (topic, lead intent), and any spec or form references you attach.
• Account information (if you sign up): email, display name, and company.
• Usage data: per-day and per-month counts of questions asked, feedback ratings, saved or pinned answers.
• Network and location data: a one-way SHA-256 hash of your IP address, your approximate country, and region (for example, US-CA). We do not store raw IP addresses and we do not derive street-level location.
• Lead and contact forms: name, email, company, phone, message, service interest, urgency, and anything else you choose to submit.
• Email activity: recipient address, template sent, and unsubscribe tokens.

• To operate FAIRQA Link and answer your questions.
• To enforce free-tier limits and prevent abuse (hashed IPs and usage counts).
• To understand aggregate usage by region so we can improve the product.
• To respond to support and lead inquiries.

We only share data with service providers needed to run FAIRQA:

• Backend hosting and database (powers our application and stores the data above).
• AI model providers to generate answers from your questions. Question text is sent to these providers at the moment of asking.
• Email provider for transactional and notification email.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share data with advertisers.

We use browser local storage to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run analytics pixels on the marketing site.

• Questions and usage records are retained indefinitely so we can show your history and improve the product.
• Hashed IPs are one-way; we cannot recover the original IP.
• Lead and contact submissions are kept until you ask us to delete them.
• Account data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after deletion to satisfy legal and accounting needs.

Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, UK, or California), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@fairqa.com.

FAIRQA is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

FAIRQA is operated from the United States. Our database and application backend are hosted in the United States, and the AI model providers we use to generate answers also process data in the United States.

If you access FAIRQA from outside the United States, the information described in this policy will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States. By using FAIRQA, you consent to that transfer. We protect data in transit with TLS and at rest with encryption provided by our hosting platform, and we rely on standard contractual safeguards with our processors where applicable.

FAIRQA is not authorized to receive or process ITAR, EAR-controlled, CUI, or classified information, and you agree not to submit it. The assistant automatically scans every question for markers such as ITAR, EAR99, EAR controlled, CUI, NOFORN, EXPORT CONTROLLED, PROPRIETARY, CONFIDENTIAL, CLASSIFIED, and SECRET, and blocks questions that contain them before they reach our AI providers. Our logs also redact these terms. We further strip emails, phone numbers, ID numbers, and long digit strings (which may be part, drawing, or serial numbers) from questions before sending or storing them. If you believe export-controlled data was submitted, email privacy@fairqa.com so we can purge it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
