Job Title: FAI Quality Engineer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced FAI Quality Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing First Article Inspection (FAI) support for our customers, ensuring that their products meet quality and regulatory requirements. You will use your expertise in quality assurance, inspection techniques, and quality systems to ensure that our customers receive high-quality products and services that meet their needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support for customers' First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements, including reviewing FAI packages, analyzing measurement data, and providing technical guidance to suppliers.
- Review and approve supplier FAI packages to ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.
- Perform quality system audits of suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and requirements.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues related to supplier performance, non-conforming products, and customer complaints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and supply chain, to ensure that products meet quality and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain quality metrics and reporting systems to monitor and improve supplier performance.
- Provide training and guidance to suppliers on quality requirements and standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and efficiency of the FAI process.
- Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and trends related to quality assurance and FAI requirements.
Requirements:
- Degree in engineering or related field.
- In lieu of degree Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, inspection, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, FAI processes, and industry standards and regulations.
- Experience working in a remote or virtual environment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities.
