Job Title: Quality Engineering Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineering Manager to lead our quality assurance team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our quality engineering processes, ensuring that our products consistently meet or exceed industry standards and regulatory requirements. You will lead a team of dedicated quality professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and driving excellence throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Quality Leadership: Provide strategic leadership to the quality engineering team, setting clear quality objectives and guiding the team towards achieving them.
- Quality Systems Management: Develop, implement, and maintain robust quality systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of quality engineers and specialists, fostering their professional development and ensuring optimal team performance.
- Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain strong quality partnerships, ensuring that supplied components and materials meet our stringent quality requirements.
- Quality Audits: Oversee quality system audits, both internally and externally, to verify compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations into quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conforming products, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization, identifying areas for quality enhancement and efficiency optimization.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and supply chain, to ensure a unified approach to quality assurance.
- Quality Metrics: Develop and maintain quality performance metrics and reporting systems to monitor quality trends and guide decision-making.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with evolving industry standards, regulations, and best practices, ensuring our quality processes remain current and aligned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in quality engineering and quality management roles within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, quality engineering methodologies, and industry-specific quality standards and regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and achieving results.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and collaborative environment.
